Three Years of This Fashion Girl

Hey everyone! So, I know that once again I have made the empty promise of updating every week. I have a bunch of post ideas in my draft, but I have not had the time to write them because of school, and all the stress revolving around it. Currently it's almost 11 o'clock on a Tuesday night (I have to be up in 6.5 hours), and typing this on a wireless keyboard and my iPad. You might be wondering, why are you telling me all of this useless information? Well, today is a special day for my blog and I really wanted to post a meaningful message even if that involves me being exhausted in the morning. Here it goes:

Three years today, I created my blog. I was twelve years old (almost thirteen because my birthday is in five days). I previously had made some "blogs" with other people so I knew how to work blogger. If you don't know, my mother runs her own blog that I set up for her and she therefore influenced me to create my own. As  a seventh grader, my ideas  for this blog mostly consisted of talking about my middle school experience and makeup tips.

The first year of my blog, I got ridiculed a lot by my peers because of things I would say on my blog. I only posted less than fifteen times because I didn't fully have my heart in it. By my second anniversary, I really wanted to start building up an audience and getting views. I joined Bundle and Bloglovin, and I also started doing twitter chats and link parties. I have met so many teen and adult bloggers in the last few years such as Abby, Grace, Francisca, Roisin, Jane, Guilianna, Francisca, and so many other people. I have connected with brands, and have gotten to experience a fashion show.

I think having a blog has become a piece of who I am. I have had so many people say before they knew me in school, they had looked at my blog. I am not ashamed of having a blog because it makes me unique because I have a place on the internet for my thoughts, ideas, and experiences. I love the fact that i can see what was going in my life a few years ago and see pictures and the way I spoke. I love taking pictures and writing. Ever since I was little, I had enjoyed reading and writing. This fashion Girl has been the place that i have been able to freely (with some judgment) express myself. As this blog grows, I hope to grow along with it.

I want to say thank you to those people who read my blog. I still can't believe I have a little over 100 followers on here. Also, thank you for 45,000 views. I never dreamed that I would be so close to 50K. Last year at this time I had around 20,000 views (over a course of two years), and now I have doubled that in a single year is simply astonishing. I hope that one day this blog will become bigger and that I will write more frequently. I hope that one day I will have tons of comments and views, but that will come with time, and I plan to stick with blogging for the years.

Thank you all for a great three years! I can't imagine what I would do without my website and this huge community of bloggers. Good night (for me at least because now it's 11:11)!  Love you all so much.
