Three Things to Look Forward to in December

Hey everyone! It's officially December, which means the holiday season is upon us even more. It seems like all the channels have Christmas movies, and advertisements about shopping. The last few years I haven't been that excited about the holidays, but my perspective has been changing this year. I have compiled a list of three things to look forward to this month.

*also I am using all photos from google for this post *

1. Food

Is it just me or does food taste just so much better in the winter? It's so cold in New York during the winters that it is hard to go outside or be very productive if you do go outside. December isn't too bad when it comes to the weather, but it's very unpredictable. Last week, it rained for two days straight, was in the thirties for a day, and the next day it was in the sixties. That's besides the point, though. In December, it seems like everyone has cookies, chocolate, or candy lying around for your pleasure. Also, between going to see family or just going to restaurants, there's just so much food at your disposal.Once January hits, many people start their "new year resolutions" by trying to eat healthy, so December is the time to eat good food.

2. Clothing

If you live in a place where it gets cold during the winter, than December is usually the time when people start dressing in even more layers. In November, people (including me) tend to believe that it's still warm out, and try to wear a light jacket with jeans. December is the appropriate time to put on your ear muffs, scarves, and gloves. I, personally, love wearing winter clothing more than summer clothing. I love wearing dresses with boots, tights, and cardigans. I also love to wear jeans. December is a time to be very festive, and where as many colorful dresses and skirts that you want. There are so many sales in December because of the holiday season, so it's so much easier to get warm, cute clothing at a decent price.

3. Decorations

No matter what your religion is, December is a time of joy. The year is coming to an end, and people are celebrating about an array of things. I find that Christmas decorations are my favorite thing about December. I don't know if it's because I live in New York City or because my mother completely covers my house in decorations, that I love it so much. This month, there will definitely be a post about all the Christmas decorations in the city. I think that decorations is such a great thing to make everything more festive. How can someone look at lights on a house or on a tree, and not feel some type of way?

I know this was a quick post, but I am so excited about this month. I am not able to do Blogmas this year because of my schedule, but I am going to try to post as much as I can.

Question: What's something you are excited for this month?
