14 things I learned in 2014

2014 has been a crazy year for me.  I graduated from middle school last June.  In September, I started a new school with mostly all new people. But in between that, I made some amazing new friends and stayed in touch with my old friends. I've lost some friends too, but doesn't everyone. This year has been such a wild year and I am going to share 14 things I learned in 2014.

1. People who want to be in your life, will make an effort too.

I think this is the best one to start off this post with. There is a cliche saying, "stop caring about people who don't care about you". This is true, but it's better to not use the word care. In my opinion, people still care they just don't show it. I have realized this year,  that friendships happen naturally, you can't force a friendship. If you make an effort to get to know someone, they will make an effort to get to know you. If they don't make the effort, then they aren't worth your time.

2. It's okay to be different.

In my past schools, many things have happened that made me feel bad about myself.  I am not saying my past schools were terrible because they were not. But, many people have had a negative impact on me and it made me feel so bad about myself. A lot of people would make fun of my blog, so I didn't tell a lot of people about it until the end of the school year. Being different doesn't have to be something huge, it's what makes you individual. In the last few months, I have been surrounded by people who impacted me in positive ways and helped me find some talents and are always supportive. Don't let anyone make fun of you because you are individual.

3. Who you surround yourself with impacts you.

I am talking about this on a basic level. My group of friends was huge at the beginning of  the year. But certain things would happen and I would question who my friends are. If you surround yourself with people who don't make you feel good about yourself, those are people you don't want to be surrounded by. People I know in person read my blog, and probably think I am indirecting them with that statement, but I am not, I don't do that to people. I am just going to say that the people who had a negative impact on me in the last few years aren't people I surround myself with now. I have made true friends and found my true friends and these are people I can be myself around.

4.  How to play Field Hockey.

This isn't so symbolic but it means a lot to me.  I have never done sports before and this year I wanted to try a sport. I am not good with running or just sports in general, I use to dance so I had no hand-eye coordination. But learning how to play field hockey was a milestone to me because it pushed me to do something I have never done. I am still not that great at sports, but I have improved so much since the first day. Hopefully, I can play Field Hockey for the next four years.

5. Starting a new school is really hard but worth it.

On my first day of high school, I went home and cried. I thought no one would want to be friends with me. But, on the second day people came up to me and started talking and now I am mostly friends with everyone. Socially, the beginning of High School is hard because you don't know that many people. But, I have made some great friends. New school does get better over time, so don't worry.

6. Fighting someone on the internet has no affect.

This is different than bullying on the internet. Cyberbullying has a huge affect on people but fighting does not. I speak from experience because most of us have started a fight on the internet. Maybe we commented a rude thing on a celebrity's picture and a ton of people started writing comments back to you. Or what I deal with sometimes, fights over text message. I have lost friendships over fights that happen through text message and never talked to the person in real life. When people are behind a screen they feel so much powerful (Have you seen Gossip Girl or Pretty Little Liars?). The internet is useful for getting your words out and that's what I love to do on my blog. But what I noticed is when someone curses at me through text message it has no meaning or affect on me. If it was in person, I would be mad but someone wrote the word out on text message. Doesn't it seem absurd? I feel fighting and curse words lose their meaning if they are on text. I hope this helps people who are in internet fights, if you think about it, and fight happened virtually.

7. Blogging is something I want to do for a long time.

I started this year with about 2,000 views. Now, I am finishing off the year with almost 14, 000 views. That is almost 12,000 views in one year. That is so amazing, and I never thought that I would have so many. I want my goal for 2015 to be maybe 30,000 views. That would be super cool to get my blog famous one day. Blogging is my outlet to the world, people comment and share my posts and it is so amazing. I have made so many blogger friends that I skype with or just tweet with. I even got invited to a fashion event this year just because I am a blogger. This was such a nice year for my blog, and for 2015 I hope I can blog even more.

8.  How to apply makeup correctly.

I have been wearing makeup for over two years. In seventh grade, I simply wore makeup to cover up acne but as time went on I wanted to learn how to use eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, and so many other looks. I would watch youtube videos for hours and buy makeup from Sephora. I taught myself how to do natural and not-so-natural looks. My goal is to be better at makeup and be able to do some more looks. But I have come a far way from some of my first "makeup looks".

9.   How to ride the Subway by myself.

The Subway is an underground train route that goes through New York City. There are many different trains and many ways to get to one designated place. I am proud to say I am starting to get skilled at riding the Subway.  I take 2-3 trains to school and 3 trains home five days a week. Last year, I only lived five minutes away from school so it was a bit different to take the train. But, now I am getting used to the train and even though it's pretty gross, the train is one of the most efficient ways to get somewhere in New York.

10. To love New York

I am so blessed to live in New York. I want to eventually move to another country or state but not forever. Now, that seems like I am contradicting myself. I am going to be spending the next 4 years going to school in a city that I love, so wherever I go, New York is home. New York is a place that draws you in, and I love it. In the short four months I have been going to school in Manhattan, I have gone to art museums, and restaurants that I never knew existed. I have gotten a new appreciation of art. Many people who live in New York, never get to experience the love of New York that some people get. If you ever come to America, New York is one of the best places to go.

11. To set goals.

I am learning how to set goals. I am a huge dreamer and I love to think of all the things I want to do. Questions I always ask myself are; How am I going to achieve this? and What do I want to do? Sometimes I am really bad at achieving goals, but that is something I am going to work on. I am one of those people who have no idea what I want to be when I am older. I definitely want to do something with fashion but I love so many things. Having goals, helps with directing your focus to certain things. For example, I wanted to play a sport, so I learned how to play a sport.

12. To want to Travel.

I went to California during the Summer. I really loved Los Angeles. It was a bit of a culture change from New York, being that the two are 3,000 miles apart. I fell inlove with the city, and I would like to go back there. I took so many pictures. The feeling I got by traveling made me want to go to so many places. One day, I would love to go to more states and countries. I hate tours, since I live in a big tourist attracted city so I would love just to go to countries and look at the museums and wander with friends. That was one of the nicest things I learned this year.

13. To love to read.

I used to love to read. But, in the past few years I haven't read as much. Now, I read a book every week and a half. Since I have such a long commute to school, I read on the train there and back. I have read 13 books this school year and it's a lot of fun. I can talk to so many more people about topics of books and events. My English teacher told me that reading improves your writing and that I should keep reading. Books take you to different places and they are so much better than the movies that come out.

14. Life goes on.

2014 was an emotional year. I graduated with a class of 51 people who I went to school with for 3 years. But, I also now go to school with 57 girls who I can't see my life without. Life goes on is something that I have learned this year. You aren't friends with that person you were friends with for three years, it's sad I know, but think about the future. I didn't want to think about grudges I had against people. What's the point of holding a hatred against someone forever? That's not a life I wanted to live. Life is beautiful and keeps on moving.

I hope you guys liked this post. I put a lot of effort into it and even though it was a bit personal, I hope you enjoyed it. I really hope you have a lovely 2015. Thank you for making 2014 one of the best years of my life.

Comment what are some of your best memories of 2014 and some things you learned this year.

Favorite Winter Essentials 2014

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Mine was filled with lots of family and food. I got some pretty awesome presents that I would love to share with you all another time. This post is some winter essentials that I love during this time of year. New York winters are cold and involve a lot of wind, and the temperatures drop to 20 degrees in the dead of Winter.

1. Lip Balm

My favorite lip balm is from the brand EOS (evolution of smooth). I call them eos eggs because they are circular and come in a lot of colors. They are perfect to keep in your jacket, book bag, hand bag, and pockets. They are about 5 dollars and are long lasting. Lip balm keeps your lips from getting chapped and dried out and is a necessity in the Winter.

2. Scarves

I have really been into wear scarves because they are warm, stylish, and work` as an accessory to any outfit. I have recently been wearing infinity scarves also known as circle scarves. This is one of my winter essentials because since it gets really cold in New York I need something to keep my neck and face warm when I am walking the streets and taking the train.

3. Dark Lipsticks

In winter I think of gray, black, white, dark red and purple. Those are colors I like to wear in the Winter and match my makeup too. In the Winter I would wear dark red lipstick with no eyeshadow and a bit of mascara. Remember, when you are going for dark lips, do not make drastic eyes, it's better to have one feature stand out than putting a ton of makeup on.

4. Boots

Boots are my favorite shoe during the Winter. In the Summer, it's way to hot to wear boots so Winter is the perfect time to get out your cutest pair of boots. Brands of boots I recommend are Steve Madden, Ugg, Forever 21 (cute boots, really good prices!), H&M, and Doc Marten. Every year I talk about boots but they are my favorite. I usually wear my Ugg boots when I am in more comfortable clothes like sweat pants or leggings. I would wear boots with a heel if I\ I am wearing jeans or a skirt. Knee high and thigh socks look super cool with Doc Martens or black Steve Madden boots.

5. Movies, Books, and Music

Winter is the time of laying in your bed in comfortable clothing watching movies. Lately I have been obsessed with American Horror Story, and  Divergent. Over my holiday break I plan on finishing the third book in the Divergent series (Allegiant), and Papertowns. Winter is also a time to start something new, for example, I am going to try to be healthier and work on getting a Summer body. But, speaking of comfortable winter nights I am currently watching a Harry Potter marathon and sipping a Green Smoothie.

It's so great to be back blogging. I hope you guys had a great Christmas. Comment what your favorite thing about Winter. See you soon!

Where Have I Been?

Hey everyone! I feel so bad that I have not updated my blog in two months. The reason I haven't updated is because I have been insanely busy with school, clubs, sports, and homework. I also started high school which took a ton of adjusting. I really missed blogging, and I have gotten over 1,500 views since my last post which is so nice. I have decided to start blogging again so this is a bit of an update on my life. I have so may post ideas, and now I promise I will start writing posts again.

School:  If you don't know, I go to an all-girls school in the Upper East Side of Manhattan (kind of like Gossip Girl, haha). This is not my first time in an all-girls school because I went to one from Nursery to Grade 5. Many people believe that if you go to an all-girls school that you don't meet guys, that's false because you definitely meet boys, you just don't go to school with them. The all-girls school wasn't that big of an adjustment. It was just the change in atmosphere and people. I now have to get up at 5:30 in the morning and leave my house at 6:20. This was a huge adjustment because in past years I would roll out of bed at 7:00 o'clock and I only lived five minutes from school. Now I live 45-60 minutes away from school. Also, some of my classes are harder and different than what I am used too. Overall, I love my school but it was hard to adjust.

My school is near the Metropolitan Museum of Art, so I decided to take some very artsy pictures of myself in the exhibits. PC: my friend who also took very artsy pictures :)

Life: Lately I have been reading more books. I don't like studying on the train so I read books for fun. My friend and I take the train to school every morning so I read my book and she'll study or do homework. The books I have read on the train this year so far are; If I Stay, Love and Other Perishable Items, Where She Went, Fat Angie, Fever, The Geography of You and Me, and The List. I really enjoy reading again because there was a time where I wouldn't read and now I read approximately 25 minutes every day just for fun. Also, I got to see Mockingjay Part 1 (Third Hunger Games Book/Movie) and it was absolutely amazing. Catching Fire was my favorite Hunger Games movie so far. Many other events have happened since my last update and eventually I'll write about those too.

(My hair got super long. This is when I had it straightened)

Clubs and Activities: So basically I decided to join a ton of activities and clubs at my school to fill the void that dance has left me with. My fall sport was Field Hockey. I never did sports before this year and personally it was hard for me to do sports because I was using muscles I have never used before and I barely had any stamina. Field Hockey was so much fun and I got to meet so many nice people through it. Not a lot of people I know have done field hockey but it was a fun sport to play and I would definitely play in the next few years. My school doesn't have a Junior Varsity team, so I got to say I play for a varsity team which was cool. My goal for the Summer is to have a "summer body"; a body I feel comfortable in, so I decided to start this winter to achieve my goal. I joined a Running Club at my school, it is non-competitive, and we run anywhere from 1 mile to 3 miles. It is a lot of work because we do this three times a week. For Spring Sports I am planning on doing badminton but I will keep you updated if I follow through with it.

I also joined my school's choir. We practice once a week and it's pretty intense. We are going to Texas as a trip to do some concerts in March, so that will be a great experience.

(Central Park Reservoir)

Thank you so much for all the people who look at my blog. I am now back to blogging and it feels so nice to be writing again. New posts soon!

My Trip to California: Day 4 and 5

I am so sorry that I am dragging out this mini series. I was super busy in between posts but I am finally finished telling you all about my trip to California this Summer. This is way overdue because I started school a few days ago. I want to tell you all about my last two days in California before I drag this out any longer. Don't forget to answer my question at the end of my post and my Wordless Wednesday Post! (Linked:  here )

                                  DAY 4

Universal Studios is filled with old sets, and rides based off of movies. There are rides such as Jurassic Park, Transformers, The Mummy, and Transformers.

If you have seen Despicable Me you would absolutely love the references to the minions all over the place.

There was a plastic horse, and I decided to stand near it. Nothing really interesting about that...

Later that day, I went swimming in the pool. This pool was gorgeous and it had a hot tub! I miss that so much.

The next day, I went to Venice Beach. This beach has tons of little stores that sell candy, food, henna tattoos, skateboards, sweatshirts, and anything you would think of when you go to the beach. It was a cloudy day, but it was relaxing to just walk on the beach.

I got a henna tattoo that lasted roughly 2 weeks. I love henna tattoos because they are super easy to get done, and people always compliment on them.

They were selling so many penny boards!

QOTD: Should I do more picture posts like this?

Healthy Food Recipe #TeenBlogSeries

Hey everyone! I know I haven't posted in a week due to starting school, doing homework, and managing extracurriculars. Hopefully once I get into the swing of things I can post more again. This is the fourth week of #TeenBlogSeries. You can check out the other two posts I did on my blog. This series was created by Anouska Millar and Beth. Each week over 70 bloggers write a post to the theme of the week. I personally love this because I get to see so many people's blog and some exposure to mine.

This week it is a Healthy Food Recipe. I get up for school at 5:30 in the morning for school. By 6:20 I am out the door. When you get up before the sun is even up, it might be weird to eat food. I usually hate eating before 7:30, but none the less I make myself breakfast. I like having a small portion of food that is healthy. I will be showing you all, how to make my favorite quick breakfast which is, yogurt, granola, and berries. It's not very complicated and it fills you for a few hours.

First, I have a small bowl I use. This recipe's  portion is based on how much you want.  I put about 2-4 tea spoons of vanilla yogurt into the bowl. I use La Yogurt LowFat Probiotic Yogurt because it's delicious and not a lot of calories. Then I put granola on top of the yogurt. I like the Nature's Path Organic Pumpkin Flaxseed Granola, you can buy this at Costco. On top of that, I put fresh berries into the bowl. Then I mix everything. It's quick, easy, and healthy.

1. I put 3 scoops of yogurt into the bowl.

2.  This is my favorite granola.

3. I usually use blueberries, but I settled for raspberries. In all fairness, I didn't take very good pictures. Some people might think it looks boring. But this breakfast is really good and healthy.

I hope you try it!

What you need to know about Brows and Foundation #TeenBlogSeries

Hey everyone! I know, I have been a bad blogger lately with the updating. Now that school is starting I have to balance blogging, youtube, school, homework, and so much more. There will be more posts up this week, so I will make it up to you.

This is the second week of the #teenblogseries run by Anouska Millar and Beth (MissBeautyObsession). There are now almost 100 teen bloggers in this series. The posts are really fun to read and you can find most of them by searching #teenblogseries on twitter. My first post in this series is 10 Facts About Me. Check it out, and answer my question at the bottom of the post.
This post will be about eyebrow and foundation routines.

Foundation is a tricky topic. If applied correctly, it can make your skin look flawless. But then, if you are like a big proportion of people who make it look cakey or don't apply it correctly, then it can look really bad. There are many different types of foundations such as spray, liquid, and powder. There are also alternatives to foundation such as BB cream, or tinted moisturizer. Then, there is concealer that you don't need to even wear with foundation if you so choose too.

If I were to use a foundation, I would use the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation. This is my favorite liquid foundation because it is inexpensive and works really well. This foundation has a blue pump and it gives you the perfect amount of foundation (I use 2-3 pumps). For me, I used it to cover my acne, which you aren't supposed to do. If you have acne you should use an alternative to foundation that will let your skin breathe or a foundation made for acne. The Covergirl foundation did not cause me to break out. If you want a foundation that works to get rid of acne then use the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foundation. Both can be found at Ulta, CVS, Walgreens, Duane Reade, or your local drug store.

This is the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foundation.

This is the Covergirl  Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation.

Powder foundations are easy to apply too. You need a foundation brush and a good powder that matches your skin. A powder foundation I like to use is the Sephora Powder Foundation. Powder foundation gives an airbrush finish to your skin instead of rubbing in a liquid. You also don't need an expensive brush for this. You can buy a brush from ELF or Ecotools and it will work well with this foundation. I, personally recommend powder foundation if you are going somewhere and you don't want to spend a lot of time on foundation.

Foundation is good to use in the Winter because you don't have to worry about it melting off from heat or sweat. A good alternative to foundation are BB creams. There are many benefits to BB cream such as it contains SPF 15-30, moisturizes your skin, blurs imperfections, aren't heavy against your skin, and so much more. BB Cream blends into your skin to match your skin color. All you have to do is to find your color and then apply it to your face like it's moisturizer. BB cream also lets your skin breathe and certain BB Creams fight acne.

TIP: Sometimes when you apply BB cream it makes your skin look shiny since it's a lot like moisturizer. To get the most use out of your BB cream use a setting powder or a matte powder over it.  The powder will make your BB cream look matte and your skin will look great.

I recommend the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream or the Dream Pure BB cream (which fights acne)

Concealer is definitely a MUST if you are a teenager or an adult with dark circles, acne, or redness on your face. A good concealer, can brighten your face and give the illusion that your face doesn't have any imperfections. Unlike foundation or BB cream which evens out your skin, concealer is used on certain points on your face to make them lighter. It gives these spots a little more attention. Concealer is mostly used on under eye circles, acne on your chin, forehead,  nose, and any redness that foundation or BB cream isn't covering. Concealer can be used before or after you put on your foundation and/or BB cream. I prefer to put it on after I apply my foundation because I want to see if I need to cover any spots.

When applying concealer to your face make swift motions with your concealer instead of dots. The dots will make you miss places on your face unlike the motions where you can blend it in more. Different types of concealer are more easier to use than others. It's a preference you have to have. I like stick concealers because I feel they are easier to use and you can keep them in your bag for a quick fix up during the day.

TIP: You don't need to wear foundation or BB cream to use concealer.

Eyebrows are so important.  They can make or break your look. I am more into strong dark eyebrows. Mine are really dark and thick so I always go for the strong brow as my go to.  I can never pull off the Cara Delevigne eyebrows but having strong brows can make you looks just as good.

Grooming your eyebrows:

When I was 10 I had dark eyebrows, but the bad part of that, there was only one brow. Yes, I had the infamous unibrow. I first got my eyebrows waxed when I was 11. If you are young like I was just go for it and get it waxed. Once, your eyebrows have been waxed at least once, then it will be easier to tweeze your brows if you choose too.

Tweezing your eyebrows are painful. Unless you are one of the lucky people whose eyebrows don't grow back fast, I suggest only using tweezers to pluck stray hairs in-between waxing or threading. All three ways to get your eyebrows groomed hurts but you just have to be strong.

Threading vs Waxing:

I got my eyebrows waxed from the time I was eleven to when I was thirteen. I have really sensitive skin around my eyes and eyebrows so my skin burns really easy from the hot wax. The people I went to burnt my skin a few times to the point where I had burn marks on my skin for weeks.  Waxing also doesn't shape your eyebrows very well. If you take to much with the wax then there is no way to fix it until it grows back. I don't like waxing my eyebrows and I don't recommend it to anyone who has sensitive skin.

Threading is the best way to shape eyebrows, in my opinion. Yes, it hurts but there is not hot wax or ripping things off. Threading takes roughly 15 minutes and is a series of pulling thread to cut the and shape your eyebrows. Threading doesn't burn because it is just thread. Shaping your eyebrows while threading can make the arch in your eyebrows that many people really want. I recommend it because after I switched to threading I saw a noticeable difference in my eyebrows. Waxing lasts 4-10 days, and threading lasts 2-3 weeks.

Filling in your eyebrows:

If you have light eyebrows, you might want something to darken them. Filling in your eyebrows is a technique that can make your eyebrows look great. When filling in your eyebrows, use a shade slightly darker than your eyebrows are. It will make them look more natural and not too bold. If you have blonde hair, go for brown eyebrows to frame your face.

When using an eyebrow powder, use an eyebrow brush to apply it to the middle of your eyebrow. The most powder will go there and then slowly extend the brush to the front and end of your eyebrow. Make sure it is even and one color throughout your eyebrow. Then, do the same for your other eyebrow.

Remember: Your eyebrows are sisters not twins. They will not look exactly alike but that's not the point. Make them close enough.

Products I recommend for filling in eyebrows:

Anastasia Clear Brow Gel
Anastasia Brow Powder Duo
Eyebrow Brush with Spooly

10 FACTS ABOUT ME #teenblogseries

Hey everyone. I want to start out this post with a HUGE THANK YOU. I have reached 10,000 views on my blog. That is more then I ever thought I would hit. I started taking this blog seriously in March when I had only 2,500 views, and now five months later I have hit 10,000. This is such a great milestone. I hope even bigger milestones happen soon, but thank you so much for those who read my blog.

I have joined a 9-10 week blogger series called #teenbloggerseries. It is run by Anouska from and Beth from There are 80+ teen bloggers in this series. Each week for nine weeks there is a topic and everyone in the series writes about the topic. This is a great way to make friends, get comments, and get a more abroad audience. I am so excited to be joining this series.

The first post is 10 Facts About Me:

3. I kept my blog from people in my old school until May.
              - I was scared I would get judged for what I write on here, but then I just realized that it's my blog and I can write whatever I want. If you ever feel insecure about what people think, just remember that it is your blog.

4. Next week I will be a freshman (year 9) in high school.
Bonus: I am starting an all-girls school.

5. My favorite movie at the moment is Wild Child (Alex Pettyfer and Emma Roberts are perfect in it!).

10. I absolutely love blogging and I am so excited to do this blog series.

This should be posted at 6:30 pm GMT time.

If you are part of the #teenbloggerseries comment below your links and I'll be sure to check them out.

My Trip to California: Day 3

Hey everyone! I am back to talk about my third day in Los Angeles. I only have two more posts after this one to talk about it, so its almost over (this mini series)! On my third day, I went shopping in Santa Monica. The mall has stores such as Hangar 221, Free People, Hot Topic, Love Culture, and so many more stylish stores. The streets around the main building are strip malls (streets filled with store after store).  I went shopping at Love Culture (outfits will be seen in my Fall Lookbook), PacSun, and Brandy Melville.

Here is my day (July 17, 2014) in pictures:

This is what the inside of the Santa Monica Mall looked like. It was three floors high and was so beautiful.

My outfit:

Brandy Melville Dress -$30
Brandy Melville Bralette - $18
(the bralette goes perfect with a backless dress like the one I was wearing)
Skippy's shoes - $10

Love Culture is just like Forever 21 but with better quality clothing. I love Forever 21, but Love Culture is definitely one of my new favorite stores. There aren't any near me in New York. *cries*

The Brandy Melville in LA is one of the best Brandy Melville stores I have been too. They, by far, had the most styles and clothes. I  only bought a skirt and a body chain from there but I could have spent my whole wallet at the store.

I thought this was a cute board.

The view of the strip mall in Santa Monica. The mall has stores such as PacSun, Brandy Melville, Urban Outfitters, Rip Curl, and CIVIL. The Palm Trees were so beautiful, it was such a change from New York.

Later that day I went to Venice Beach and rode my penny board. I had to take an artsy photo because the scenery was such a beautiful sight.  I miss it so much :((

Question of the Week: What is your favorite thing about where you live?

Zara Terez Collection Preview Party

Hey everyone! On August 7, I was went to the Zara Terez Collection Preview Party in New York.  I was invited by Small Girls PR. Zara Terez is a clothing brand made in New York for people of all ages. Many of their clothes involve patterns that range from polka dots to candy crush. Their line of clothing is quirky, fun, and one of a kind. And I got to see where it all happens...

You can shop some of these styles at . There are so many styles to choose from such as skirts, dresses, and their most popular leggings. They have dozens of different prints and each month the company comes out with five more prints.

I was allowed to pick a complimentary pair of leggings to keep. I picked a pair that had cassettes printed all over them. These leggings are super comfortable and they make your legs look really skinny, in my opinion. The leggings are regularly 75 dollars.

Some examples of their clothing. The outfit on the right is super cute!

At the Zara Terez party, some people from PRIV were there to do makeup and nails. PRIV is a company that sends people to your house and event, using an app, to do hair, nails, makeup, and so much more. I got my makeup professionally done for the first time. The workers from PRIV were so nice. You can see the website at

Here is some of the makeup that the lady used for my makeup. She gave me a more natural look that brought out my eyes. I never heard of some of the makeup brands she used, but once I find it out, I will definitely invest in it.

One of the most exciting part of the event is that I got to meet and see three amazing dancers,  (right to left) Jordyn Jones, Chloe East, and Lexee Smith. These girls are from Los Angeles, and are amazing dancers and are now models for Zara Terez. Jordyn Jones is famous for her Youtube Channel including her very own song, Banji, and she was on Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition. These three girls were some of the nicest people I have met. Besides from them, I was the only girl that was their age so it was nice to talk to them.

Jordyn and I had a picture of us taken. The next day she followed me on Twitter. She is such a sweet girl.

The whole event was so much fun. I can't wait to buy some Zara Terez clothes. You can check them out at

QOTW: (look at the website) what is your favorite print by them?

DIY: How to Decorate a Coffee Can

Hey everyone. Today, I decided to be crafty. I needed a new bank to put my money in that I need to save. Since I babysit and tutor, I started making money and I needed a place to keep it. I haven't properly saved money in awhile and I needed to start. Hopefully by making this bank, I end up saving money.

My parents finished a huge can of coffee and gave it to me so I can turn it into a bank. You can also use smaller cans to hold art supplies. I have quite a few in my room with magic markers or my sketching pencils.

What You Will Need:

Duck/Washi Tape (fun colors are great!) Different sizes of duct tape is preferred)

Coffee Can

I used a big coffee can because it's the only one I had. You can use whatever size you want and it doesn't matter.

First: Take the tape you want to use as the base.

I used a denim looking tape as the base.

Step 2: Start taping the can. It may take a few strips of tape to cover the whole can.

It should  look like this when you're done with the base.

Now: I'll show you two different ways to decorate you're can...

First option: more subtle

I used two strips of tape on then top and bottom.
This is a simple tape that isn't a crazy pattern. This can match most rooms. If you want a can to match your room better then I recommend either doing the colors of your room or just keeping it simple.

This is how I decided to make my can.

My room is mismatching and very colorful so I made the can a little crazy. I used two different mini tapes to do this. Many people don't like putting different patterns together, but I think this looked good.

How I decorated the cap:

Of course you need a cap to keep your money safe and secure!

First: I taped the cap with strip after strip of the rainbow mini duck tape.

This is what it looked like, completely covered.

Then I took the leopard tape and taped it around the cover and strips on top of the rainbow.

I hope you liked this DIY.

What's you opinion of this? Too weird? Helpful? Creative?

Let me know in the comments.
